For some reason I am not able to add your blog to my readers list. When I go to add your URL it comes back that blogger could not find a feed for it. I bookmarked your blog and that works fine but I would love to be able to add your page to my blogger readers list because I would automatically get updates when you post something. I wonder if there is a setting that needs to be changed?
Kris, I have a "join this site" button and a google+ add to circles button in my sidebar. I also added the subscribe button, but for some reason it's not showing up and I don't know what to do about it.
I think i might have found what is going on with your site! Go blogger and then go to your settings. Under settings, click "other", at the next page make sure the Allow Blog Fee has "Full" selected. I have a feeling that your setting is not allowing a blog feed because that is the error I get when I try to add you to my readers list. I hope this works!
I like all the buttons you've put on top of your page, with all the different interests in your life. When I have the time, I think I will do something similar on my page as well.
Julie - I noticed on Google+ that you don't post a link on their when you update your blog. Have you ever tried that before? I just clicked on the Google+ icon in the left top corner of your page and it was going to allow me to post to my Google+ wall and share your page with all of my friends that are in my Multiply circle. This would allow people to find your posts even if they can't add your blog to their Reader List on blogger.
Kris, I am unsure as to how it works. There are people on my Google+ that I don't want to know that my blog exists, so I haven't been advertising it. Any advice you might have is appreciated. Thanks.
Good morning! Just stopping by to see how you are doing? We are getting some really cold weather down here and I can only imagine how cold it must be for you! Have a great week, Julie!
Julie, this is the way I prepare collard greens. I buy a bag at the grocery, already cut up; wash of course and drain. Do you know what salt pork or we call sidemeat is? You boil a big pan with about half water and the meat and cook on medium for an hour...add several drops of "Texas Pete" or any hot sauce. After the hour, put in greens and a stick of butter on top. I put a lid on and cook on medium for maybe another hour. Check on and off and you can see if the greens are cooking down. Once they are pretty much done, take the lid off and cook out some of the water, but dont cook dry. That's it. I like vinegar on mine but can eat without. Let me know if you do try them one day. I love all greens tho....turnip, mustard, any of them, and they are so good for you. Linda

ReplyDeleteYou should look through your settings and see where you had the "follow this blog" option to your side bar. That might be the problem you are having.
