Studio, yoga, organs and music

I'm not having the success I had hoped for in the weight loss area, but today is a new day and another new beginning. I found this picture and plan to add this pose to my routine.

Today I'll be working in my studio as much as possible - I hope to get it near finished or even finished by the end of the day.

My oldest and dearest friend and I have a phone date set for noon!! I'm so excited to talk to her, we've been friends since the first day of first grade when we sat down next to each other. I miss her so much.

Yesterday at my practice time with my mentor I made it all the way through Bach's Toccata and Fugue in D Minor for the very first time - it wasn't pretty in places, but I made it!!

Last night Hubby and I went back to the church and my mentor met us there. We "tweaked" some of my presets and had tons of fun in the process. I had Mentor play for a while so I could go out in the room and hear what it really sounds like. It's so different from when I'm sitting at the console. He is so talented - I could have  listened to him play all night.

It was such a blessing being in the same room with two of my favorite men who both love and care for me so much and want the very best for me.

I hope to stop by each of your pages later today!

  1. I can certainly relate to your weight loss frustration! I can't get through one day without blowing it. The only thing I have going for me is that I do workout. I can't imagine where my weight would be if I didn't. Congrats on doing so well with your mentor! Have you posted any new videos lately? Have a wonderful day, Julie!

  2. I hope you can accomplish that yoga stance, just don't try it on a surf board. I'd hate to lose you. hahaha I've tried that, long time ago. I used to do a lot of yoga many years ago, when I was younger. It takes good balance to hold that move.
Congratulations on your music. That has to feel very good, playing through a piece like that.
So glad you got to spend some time with your mentor. I'm sure you had a good time.
Take care. I'm going to miss you.

  3. Good for you on the Bach piece!!!!! I need to sit down at the piano and spend time practicing this summer. I have the piano, I have the music, I have the time. Now I just need the discipline!
Have fun on the surfboard. :-))

  4. I'm so excited for you, that you made it through that difficult Bach piece! I'm sure it sounded wonderful, and I would not have noticed any missed notes. I've missed you here, and am happy to catch up!! I think of you when we are in church and our organist is playing. Her name is Helen, and she is very good, too. Hope you got your organizing done. Love & hugs!
