Hubby went down and picked up Daughter this evening while I was teaching, she's asleep in the chair now. I think her trips to the bathroom seem to be slowing down, I hope she sleeps well tonight. I'm getting sleepy myself and I'm not sure how long I'll stay up. Hubby is gone to hockey and will be home late.
I"m planning to make chicken noodle soup tomorrow and hopefully she will be able to at least keep the broth down. Also tomorrow I have some laundry to finish and 2 lessons to teach. I'm not sure how much more I 'll get done with a sickie in the house. I'm so glad she's home though so I can keep and eye on her.
It's been a long day...g'night.
I know how you feel Julie..when ever Lauren was away at college and she would get sick, it felt so good to get her home so I could take care of her. I don't care how old they get, you will always want to comfort and take care of them:-) Glad to hear the trips to the bathroom have slowed down! Prayers continue!
ReplyDeleteI remember the first time I was really sick, and 500 miles from my mom. It was the most miserable I've ever been, knowing I had no one to take care of me. Being close, so you can care for her, is a blessing for you both! Hope she is better today.
ReplyDeleteThere certainly is something about a mother's touch...even her presence. I still want my mom when I'm sick. I'm glad my daughter is home so I can look after her. Funny how easily I fall back into mom mode. LOL
ReplyDeleteHoping she is much better by tomorrow and I know she is glad to have her Mother taking care of her. Like we go into "mom" mode, our children like it too.
ReplyDeleteI've been thinking of you. You were having such a horrible day on that last post I read, You do sound better. So sorry to hear your daughter is so sick. Sounds like the flu. With Mom close by, I'm sure she feels more comfortable. The last time my daughter was sick, she called me and said "I want my mommy". She's 38 yrs. old!
