First of all, I'd like to share some verses for the new year that a friend of mine shared on her blog:
Lucy Maude Montgomery in her classic, Anne of Green Gables book said, “Isn’t it nice to think that tomorrow is a new day with no mistakes in it?”
“Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past. See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland.” Isaiah 43:18-19
“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” Jeremiah 29:11
“…but those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.” Isaiah 40:31
“Look to the Lord and his strength; seek his face always. Remember the wonders he has done, his miracles, and the judgments he pronounced,…” 1 Chronicles 16:11-12
It is nice to think that each new year, each new day is a chance to start fresh. I have been working on re-working my schedule to allow for tasks that have been slipping through the cracks. I'm doing better and hopefully this next week will be better yet.
Students have returned this week...well...sort of. I thought of taking another week off to get some more things done and now I wish I had as I've only had four students of the 13 show up due to either weather conditions or illness. Hopefully next week will be better.
The sun is shining today - it's so nice to see!! I don't know how much I'll be around for the next while with my new schedule and all, but I'll be in and out.

Good to see you posting again. Happy New Year and pray you stay warm and safe.
ReplyDeleteI've missed you, Julie! The one thing I miss most about Multiply is that we could "chat" in our in-boxes and check in quickly if we weren't posting. No way to do that here on Blogger. Love your new musical background!! It's good to catch up with you! Looking forward to seeing some of your valentines!
ReplyDeleteI've missed you too but I'll see you this coming Tues. I'm glad I cancelled last week because our power kept flicking off.
ReplyDeleteI like one of the quotes you wrote..... "Isn't it nice to think that tomorrow is a new day with no mistakes in it?" Now it's up to me to not mess it up. I can only hope.
I hope your new year is a blessed one.
Happy New Year, Julie! I loved the verses you shared with us! My favorite: “Look to the Lord and his strength; seek his face always. Remember the wonders he has done, his miracles, and the judgments he pronounced,…” 1 Chronicles 16:11-12
ReplyDeleteI'm sorry that you are having car problems. I can totally relate! My son's car has not worked in 2 months so we have been sharing my van. It has been awful. Have a wonderful week!
