Quick Note

Happy Monday! It's good to be feeling better, but I'm still not 100% and I have a lot of catch-up to do.
1. Morning chores
2. Focus on bathroom this week - today is the ceiling and it's going to take energy and strength I'm not sure I have yet.
3. Re-start fitness program with flexibility and strength training
4. Make sausage stew for supper
5. Teach one lesson
6. Maybe practice...not sure I want to go out today.

ALL schools are cancelled here due to our extreme low temperatures EXCEPT for my daughters campus. She has to walk all over that campus in this awful weather. She has asked for prayer today as it's just plain dangerous to be out. It's currently -9 with wind chill of -33. I think they should have cancelled but they never do.

Also please pray Hubby does not come down sick with what I had. He has a very busy weekend coming up that will bring in some needed money but only if he's healthy enough to do the job.

I will try to catch up with everyone this evening.

  1. Good morning, Julie! Glad to hear you are feeling better! Good luck on getting your to-do list done. School is closed here too. Doesn't it anger you that the universities never close? Lindsay and Matt will be walking around campus in -30 below temps too. It's days like today that I wish they lived on campus because they wouldn't have get on the freeway and drive there. Keeping your daughter and husband in my prayers today! Have a great week, and stay warm!

  2. Good to hear you are feeling better, but dont over do on that bathroom. The weather is a pain for everyone it seems....you have the snow plus the cold, and we have the cold. Will pray for your daughter's safety as she goes from class to class, and for your hubby not to get what you have had. Winter is a hard time, and we just have to keep close to God to get through it.

  3. Prayers sent for your husband and your daughter (and for Lindsay & Matt).

Julie, I think you asked me about getting more followers a few days ago, and I totally forgot to answer over on my blog. I came to Blogger with several friends from Multiply (Linda and Kris, above, are two of them). My newer friends here have all come from linking in with the Wednesday Hodgepodge. I started putting my link on her page, and new people started commenting. I went to their pages and started following the ones I felt connected to (not all of them!) and began to comment on their posts. It just kind of grew from there. I have also started doing the Monday Quiz About Me, from Acting Balanced. I confess to also connecting with friends of my friends, by starting to follow their blogs and making comments. It is a commitment, and sometimes it is overwhelming to me. I really don't want any more than the 40+ that I have now. I just don't have the time to keep up with everyone. Friends here are a true blessing, though!!
