Hodgepodge 343

1. Are you currently operating at 100% capacity? If not, what % are you? What's keeping you there?
No I'm not. I would have to guess 60%. What's keeping me here? Probably trying to do too much and overextending myself or expecting to get too much done in a day.

2.  Have you done your taxes? Planned/booked a summer holiday? Thought about or started your 'spring cleaning'? Besides what's listed here, tell us one task that needs doing before spring rolls around.
Hubby does our taxes and those for the business. I know he hasn't done them yet. We don't get to take summer holidays...so no on that one. I won't think about spring cleaning until it's warm enough to open the doors and windows for fresh air. I also don't start until I'm finished teaching in June. One task before spring is to lose 5 lbs.

3. What's a favorite food from your part of the country?
Pasties.

4. This isn't a leap year, but let's run with it anyway...look before you leap, a leap of faith, grow by leaps and bounds, leap to conclusions, leap at the opportunity...which phrase might best be applied to your life currently (or recently)? Explain.
I guess I would have to say leap to conclusions because of all the unrest recently in our church body. There has been lots of leaping to incorrect conclusions about what myself and some others want or believe. It's hard to get people to really hear you when they have preconceived ideas in their heads.

5. As the month draws to a close list five fun and/or fabulous things (large or small) you noticed or experienced in February.
Crafting for a Cause was fun and I will be posting about that hopefully in the next day or two. It was fun to get flowers from my Valentine. FIVE? Sorry...it's late and I can only come up with those two. :(

6. Insert your own random thought here.
Like I said above....it's late, it's been a long, difficult week and it's only Wednesday! Good night friends.

  1. Thanks for your visit. It sounds like things aren't going too smoothly for you at the moment. I hope that changes soon. Snow is a bit of a novelty in London. We don't get it too often and usually it's not much - consequently we're not always well prepared for it, especially this spell of snow which has been much worse than usual. I don't think I could live anywhere that had lots of snow for long periods of time but my DIL from Vermont is feeling more at home here at the moment.

  2. I'm sorry there is still so much strife in your church. It sure isn't supposed to be that way! I'm looking forward to your post about the Crafting event!

  3. I understand about dealing with the pre-conceived ideas people have. That's a tough battle because people are not really listening. I try to not be guilty of the same.

  4. I do hope your difficult week improved. It has been a long week here too. As I was leaving the supermarket on TUESDAY I said Have a nice weekend to the cashier. She laughed and said, 'It's only Tuesday!'

  5. I try to do too much and overextend myself and then I get sick. Well, who doesn't like pastries???
