I was on the computer so much yesterday that I am not in the mood to spend much time here today. I do believe I'm headed to the grocery store, maybe check out some garage sales on the way if I can find some, then home to cook beans for tomorrow, straighten the studio, pull weeds in the garden, fill the bird feeders, and make a card for an upcoming wedding. I did get my walk in yesterday and hope to do that again today as well.
We were up early this morning, Hubby has a morning of trail work planned and needed to get an early start. I made him a hearty breakfast of eggs, fried potatoes with onions, bacon, toast and coffee.
Suki is snoring in her bed behind me, the birds are singing, I'm enjoying my coffee and all is right with the world...well, almost. I must say, I do live a sheltered life here in the Little Turquoise House and I'm not sure that's all bad. Life is simple here and I hope it can remain that way.
It is 74 degrees where I live...better than the high 80's and 90's of the last several days. Have a great Saturday...looks like more rain here for us.
ReplyDeleteAt times, I feel I lead a boring life, but when I really think about it, I lead a safe, quiet, uncomplicated life and that isnt a bad thing. It hasnt cooled off as much here, as there, but like you, not quite ready for the cold yet...it will come soon enough. Hope you get all the things you want to do, done today. Have a nice weekend.
ReplyDeleteI love your pictures at the top... the gold finch and your flowers. I'm still trying to figure out how to put my photos in the heading like that. ** We're getting a small reprieve from the heat wave too, but not that cool. I'm with you --- not yet! We still have the month of August so we should get more heat. ** A simple, quiet, uncomplicated life without the drama is a good thing. I've realized some people would actually welcome this while some call it "boring". It's not for everyone but I'm thankful for it. You have a good day Julie. ♥
ReplyDeleteThose temps sound SO nice! We won't see the 50s until December or January. I love being able to open the windows and left the fresh air in. Your photos are lovely, and I agree that a safe, comfortable home is a great place to spend most of your time. I know you count your blessings! Have a great weekend!!
ReplyDeleteDon't you just love the cooler temps?! We are back to the warmer weather now but I sure did enjoy it for that day or two..lol. Suki looks so comfortable and sweet in her bed!
