It is my hope to finish my floor today...I may have to do some, take a break, then finish the rest. I also have to make a menu and a grocery list and prepare chicken stir-fry for lunch for tomorrow. There are also the bills to pay so they can get in the mail on Monday and the guest bedroom still needs to be prepared for my company. I did find out they will arrive mid-day Tuesday and stay until mid-day Wednesday. Last but not least, I need to spend some time at the piano...teacher needs a refresher course.
Hubby is at the Men's Retreat out at the Bible camp today. In all the years we've lived here, he has never gone to the men's retreat! He has been so stressed over finances that he told God if He would send him the money he needed to purchase paper and supplies to print the next job, he would go to the retreat, even though he had not reserved a spot. Within a few hours an email arrived from a customer saying a direct deposit had been made to the business account. Hubby called the camp director this morning to make sure it was alright if he came at the last minute and it was. I am praying God will bless him abundantly today and he will come home refreshed and renewed.
God provided for us and we were paid...what a load off my mind!
Hubby and I enjoyed a date night last night by going out to
dinner at our favorite spot in town. While there we had the treat of hearing a local pianist who plays there the first Friday of every month. One of my students had told me about him, but this was the first chance I had to hear him. I know the photo isn't very good, even enlarged it's fuzzy. I took it with my phone and was too far away. He has an interesting style...all improvised that mostly I enjoyed...there were a few times though that I wanted him to go in a different direction. It was an enjoyable evening out though...so nice to get out of the house for a while.
I've been emailing back and forth with the other organist that I
would be sharing the job with if I take it. I'm feeling more and more comfortable that we can work out the details and she is willing to work with me in scheduling. I have to call and talk to the Pastor today and also call back the man who called me in the first place. It's going to be stressful for a while until everything is worked out.
Yesterday was a beautiful, sun-filled day...today it's snowing and the forecast is for 5-8". Have a wonderful weekend!

God answers our prayers even tho we still doubt. PTL that the money came in and also that you had a good 'date' night.
ReplyDeleteOh, not more snow! I think we've seen our last.... I hope. ** Isn't it wonderful that God hears our prayers? May He continue to bless you and your family. ** It sounds like things might be working out on the new job. That's great. ** Having a date night is also a good thing. We used to do that but not lately. ** You have a great weekend. ♥
