Well...not merely a vent, I'm also looking for some help and encouragement if there are those out there that can find it in their hearts to do so.
While many of you are praising Blogger and enjoying your move from Multiply, I'm still struggling. Once I got things set up here, I like it for the most part, BUT...I'm already missing not being able to use my own store of photos for my backgrounds, or having a viewing history where I can see who has visited. I also really don't like the lack of privacy here...I enjoyed being able to adjust that entry by entry if I wanted. Friends of mine are still having trouble viewing my page and one of them sent me the link to her page and when I clicked on it I found myself on my own dashboard page! HOW IS THAT EVEN POSSIBLE?? I still cannot see her page.
I want to like it here, I want to feel at home, but so far all I've had is headaches.
I am so sorry that you are having a trouble with blogger. I agree with you about the privacy settings. I wish they were more flexible. I know a friend of mine makes her own backgrounds from her own photos. I will find out how she does that. I have been adding the URL to the blogs I want to follow to my "Readers List" on blogger.com. Once I add them to the list I am able to see when someone updates their page. If you have any questions, just let me know. If I don't have the answer I will try and find it for you!

ReplyDeleteI will have to see if I can figure out how to add the URL to my Readers List like you mentioned. Sounds like that would be helpful. Off to see what I can find...
It took a little doing, but I did it. Thank you! Hopefully that will make a difference. Terri's comes right to my email and gmail, no one else's tho.
